Skoda Fabia RS2000 goes topless |
Concept design from Skoda which chops the roof off four-door Skoda Fabia. Every year, for the last thirty years, the Volkswagen Group has been celebrating the spirit of the hot hatch on the shores of Lake
Wothersee in Austria. This year however was something special. Not only did we see a funky tuned version of the VW Golf and the Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro concept, but we also saw the little Czech marque, Skoda, outdo the biggies. On display at the GTI-Treffen festival, Skoda unveiled just how hot the humble Fabia can become, if given the right design treatment. Starting off with the existing Fabia RS, Skoda’s designers added a widebody kit with 18-inch wheels to give it a stance like its S2000 rally counterpart and then promptly lopped off the roof. The end result is a four-door roadster with four individual racing seats and harnesses, carbon fibre trim and a 2.0-litre twin turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes over 200hp. So our only question is, where can we book one?
