Ferrari F620 to be unveiled at Geneva 2012 Motor Show

Ferrari has stated that they would be unveil its F620 newest model at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The new Ferrari F620 will replace the current Ferrari 599 GT version.

It’s that exciting time of age again when Ferrari is about to unveil their new flagship model and gets enthusiasts around the world all frothing about what the newest prancing horse will be like.

The new car will possibly be called the F620, and although we are yet to find what the horse will look like just yet, we do know that it will have an all-new front-mounted, direct injection V12 engine with a displacement of around 6,200cc from the FF. The motor will be mounted on an aluminium chassis, which is to replace the one that was used by the ever-red 599 GT.

The new F620 GT car will have a lot of carbon fibre body components to keep up with the increasing weight reduction demands and ever evolving technology. Ferrari will not use expensive structural materials on this car due to high manufacturing costs and maintenance issues that customers faced on the 599 GT while driving in some typical conditions. Ferrari will opt for more maintenance-free works on this car making it more practical to use. Also the part-time four-wheel-drive system from the FF will not be used in the F620 so the car's anticipated 700 horsepower will drive the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

In any case we will have to wait for accurate specifications from Ferrari next month at the Geneva Motor Show, which will take place in March 2012.
